June 3-7, 2016: Planting Seeds of Compassion: (In-Person and Virtual)

This inaugural multi-day retreat will focus on radical compassion for ourselves and each other. Our days will be comfortably enriched with multiple opportunities to practice together with laughter, kindness, and compassion.

Please join us for daily morning sitting meditation, dharma talks, walking meditation, dharma sharing, chanting and singing, creative practice, working meditation, and delicious vegan meals consistent with our Plum Village Tradition.

6:00 AM Morning Meditation

7:30 AM Breakfast

8:30 AM Personal Time (Showers/Pop Up Individual or Group Exercise organized by Retreatants)

9:30 AM Dharma Talk

11:00 AM Working Meditation ( All working meditation will be focused on light duty tasks such as dishwashing, floor sweeping, vegetable peeling, bathroom tidying, etc.)

12:30 PM Lunch

2:00 PM Dharma Sharing

3:30 PM Art/ Chanting/ Singing

5:00 PM Working Meditation

6:00 PM Dinner

7:30 PM Personal Time / Deep Relaxation

10:00 PM Noble Silence Begins

Some people may optionally choose to spend a portion or all of the retreat in Noble Silence. We will provide special name tags to be worn by those practicing in silence as to minimize any misperceptions or awkwardness.

Donations will be accepted to defray the cost of supplies, utilities, and upkeep at Dandelion Acres. No one will be turned away due to inability to donate. Please contact brad for information on scholarships.

We offer the following suggested donation levels for in person attendance for your convenience:

Essential Costs $300/ person

Essential Costs plus support for scholarships for others $350/person

Essential Costs plus support for scholarships and Dandelion Acres improvements $400/person

We are very happy to announce that due to funding from the Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation, partial scholarships for registration and travel assistance are available for individuals with financial need, with priority to those who identify in one or more of the following groups:

  • WakeUp
